I’m an Educational Strategist, the founder of Smarter By 1 Degree, Compass Virtual Academy, and a teacher of 24 years. I've spent my career helping students reach their educational goals, but I realized that time and money were barriers that kept many from attaining it. I love applying strategy to every situation, and when you apply it to education, it can allow you to get the education you want, at the price you can afford. We've all been told that there is one way to earn a degree, but the truth is that you can earn a degree around your schedule, for a fraction of the cost, and in a fraction of the time.

 

Smarter By 1 Degree started with me helping my daughter graduate high school with a bachelor’s degree at 16, debt-free. Fast forward 8 years, over ten thousand students, and a team of 16 amazing individuals who support our students every step of the way. We've grown from a simple vision to a thriving community of students reaching their full potential, achieving their dreams, and breaking through traditional barriers to success. 

 

When I’m not helping students save time and money, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and my extended family. If you see me, chances are I'm laughing—because life is too short not to find humor in every situation.
